On Monday, October 18 we reopened our Olive Way store in Seattle with a stunning new look. This high-profile location in the vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood exemplifies both our approach to store design and our commitment to reducing our environmental impact. The design features reclaimed and local materials as well as work from local artists. It is our 21st store worldwide to be either LEED® registered or certified.
The coffee-centric design brings customers closer to the coffee, allowing them to better experience the theater of our handcrafted beverages. We are also offering an expanded food menu at the store as well as wine and beer. This is in response to our customers telling us that they want more options for relaxing in our stores in the afternoon and evenings and reflects what we’ve learned from our “learning lab” stores, 15th Avenue Coffee and Tea and Roy Street Coffee and Tea, also in Seattle. We hope to continue to learn from our experience at Olive Way and then consider bringing this concept to select stores in neighborhoods where it is relevant.
